This leisurely walk offers delightful landscapes, luscious meadows and the opportunity to discover the charming history of St. Ives. Starting at the Park and Ride (accessible by Guided Busway from Cambridge), we walk southwards along the unspoilt banks of the River Great Ouse, with an excellent opportunity to spot bird life. From here, we head towards the quaint villages of the Hemingfords and have our lunch stop by the river at Hemingford Grey, with the option of a drink at an award-winning local pub. We then cross the water meadows to Houghton Mill (the last surviving water-powered mill on the Great Ouse), where we have the opportunity for tea & cake! Finally, we join the Ouse Valley Way which leads us back to the historic market town of St. Ives, home of Oliver Cromwell.
